The Dirt Girls are a group of women in the Missoula, MT area that get together each Tuesday evening to mountain bike
& hike. We formed in 2001 as a way to enjoy the outdoors with other women.
We begin biking after the time change
in the spring and start hiking when daylight savings ends in the fall.
Mountain Bike Rides
The women's mountain bike rides are geared for beginner/intermediate riders. We try and gear the ride to the slowest
rider and wait at turns and key points. The goal is to make sure everyone has a good time while building riding skills.
Hikes
The hikes take place in the dark and we stick together unless it is an out and back. Headlamps can help but are not required
on many hikes. Foot grippers/Yak trax are highly recommended once the snow flies. For info on making your own screw shoes
